【摘要】:1.1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesmethodsforthedeterminationofthewatercontentofplasticsintheformofgranulesandfinishedarticles.Thesemethodsdonottestforwaterabsorption(kineticsandequilibrium)ofplasticsasmeasuredbyISO62.Themethodsaresuitableforthedeterminationofwatercontentaslowasthefollowinglevels:--MethodA0,1%orbetter;MethodB0,01%orbetter;MethodC0,01%orbetter.Watercontentisanimportantparameterforprocessingmaterials,andshouldremainbelowthelevelspecifiedintheappropriatematerialstandard.1.2ThreealternativemethodsarespecifiedinthisInternationalStandard:MethodAisanextractionmethodusinganhydrousmethanolfollowedbyaKarlFischertitrationoftheextractedwater.Itcanbeusedforallplasticsandisapplicabletogranuleshavingamaximumsizeof4mm×4mm×3mm.MethodBisavaporizationmethodusingheated,dryairornitrogengastoevaporatethewater,followedbyaKarlFischertitrationofthecollectedwater.Itcanbeusedforallplasticsandisapplicabletogranulessmallerthan4mm×4mm×3mm.MethodCisamanometricmethod.Thewatercontentisdeterminedfromtheincreaseinpressurewhichresultswhenthewaterisevaporatedunderavacuum.Thismethodisnotapplicabletoplasticsamplescontainingvolatilecompounds,otherthanwater,inamountscontributingsignificantlytothevapourpressureatroomtemperature.Checksforthepresenceoflargeamountsofvolatilecompoundsshouldbecarriedoutperiodically,forexamplebygaschromatography.Suchchecksareparticularlyrequiredfornewtypesorgradesofmaterial.
